Difference between CBD vs THC
CBD is closely related to another important medicinally active compound: THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). CBD and THC are the two most prominent cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Their effects, however, are vastly different.
THC is the compound that is widely known for the “high” sensation, as it produces a psychoactive response.
CBD, on the other hand, is non-psychoactive, hence does not cause any high, and it’s known for having many promising health benefits.
According to a report from the World Health Organization, CBD “exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”
